Wind energy is the major talk of the whole country as to if it is a reliable energy source to use instead of those of coal. Most homeowners don’t actually take the risk of going towards a more green approach. However, most people only do the basics of going green such as recycling plastics and such. However, a few people take it to the next step, such as purchasing a wind turbine in replacement of their electricity company that uses coal to produce the energy.
I’m a new homeowner and wanted to be more eco-friendly. Is being friendly to the environment really that important to the earth? If so, could you explain it a little more to me?
ReplyDeleteWould you rather help the environment, or destroy it? To some people being “green” is really important to the earth. All of the toxins and gas that we use does do negative damage to our atmosphere. You may have heard of global warming which is caused by the damage to the atmosphere. Becoming “greener” would decrease the amount of toxins that are being released into the air; which then would mean it would be helping out the atmosphere.
DeleteWhat is exactly being “green” mean? Isn’t it just recycling items such as plastic and cardboard?
ReplyDeleteBeing green means being environmentally conscious about how things are made and what they do to the environment. When the average person things of being green, they usually think about energy-efficient appliances, and fixtures; such as, a solar panel. Some of the simpler less expensive ways to be more “greener” would be to ride your bicycle to places where it’s a reasonable distance.
DeleteWhat do you consider green to be?
ReplyDeleteI consider green to be somewhere along the lines of using high efficiency appliances, hybrid motor vehicles, recycling plastics, and solar panels.
DeleteYou have the idea of it! Those are some other options that an average homeowner could do to be more eco-friendlier.
DeleteAre you going to explain more about wind power? I am interested on turning “green."
ReplyDeleteThroughout this blog, I’ll be comparing and contrasting two different sources of energy, coal power plants and wind power (wind turbines); one that harms the environment and on that is “green to the environment. Wind power can help the average person who wants to be “greener” with a more environmentally safe way of getting energy. I’ll do this by comparing the cost of two energy sources, wind and coal power, what they do to help the environment and the damage that they do to the environment. Nonetheless, one would be able to see why wind turbines are better for the environment after reading these posts.
DeleteOkay. Great, I will keep reading.
